We asked our three Local Barre Leaders, who also happen to be full time teachers, what they look forward to most about getting back to school and how they get back into their Fall routines!
For me, I love September and the fresh start that it brings. I always look forward to meeting my new group of kiddos, trying out new ideas, and getting back into a routine. Back to school can be insanely busy, and so I find it super important to find a balance and take time to do things for myself (hello, Local Barre!). I’m excited to get back into the swing of things and am so grateful to have Local Barre as a place to unwind and de-stress!
Heading back to school always gets me SO excited for a few reasons. I love setting up my classroom to make a comfortable and safe place for us to spend our days in! I also just get so pumped to meet my new batch of kiddos and put faces to the names on my list!
Back to school for me also means getting back into a routine. Meal planning, alarms, real grocery trips, and schedules come out in full force during this time of year and I love it! Setting up a calendar always helps me get back into my routine so I know exactly what’s coming at me throughout the week! The first few weeks can be pretty exhausting and I love getting back into a healthy routine with meal planning and consistent workouts to keep my energy up! Scheduling my days, inside and outside the classroom, gets me back into the groove during the first few weeks of school and sets me up for consistency throughout the year!
The best part about going back to school is seeing the excitement from the students in the Fall. They are so enthusiastic to start a fresh new year and it's always a good reminder of the important role you play in their lives!
I stick to a fairly similar routine in the summer/fall, but I am always looking forward to adding the 4:45 barre classes to my routine come fall.
