Did you know that Kirstin's the only YQR Local Leader that's also a student? We asked her how she juggles her busy school schedule and still finds the time to be a Local Barre Leader.
"School is hard. Trying to get into grad school is even harder. But if I’m being honest, Local Barre is my stress relief from my five classes and two labs. I’ve been active for as long as I remember and that’s how I handle stressful times or stressful situations - I work out. Whether it’s running, taking a spin class or barre, it’s the only way I can get out of my head and take a break from school. I’m currently taking Kinesiology classes in order to apply for my Masters in Physio Therapy. I love the body, I love the way we move and I love the fact that there’s a job out there helping people get back to their best version of their physical selves. I think that teaching at Local Barre, paired with all my classes in anatomy, physiology and motor development, really increase my knowledge as a Local Leader. Knowing what a muscle does and the importance of proper body alignment really allows me to talk about the positions we do, the muscle groups we work and allows me to make proper corrections so that YOU get the best out of your workout!"
Don't miss Kirstin's Hip Hop themed class TODAY - Monday October 29th at 4:45pm!
